Sexuality and Social Change: Making the Connection
04:56' AM - Monday, 08/12/2008

This book is translated by CIHP from the English version with permission from the Ford Foundation. This report aims to promote dialogue about and encourage donors and other organizations to support work focusing on sexual activities. It presents the case for why sexuality deserves increased attention, offers examples of creative programs in action, and makes recommendations for future investment.

This report incorporates recommendations and priorities identified through a year-long, worldwide consultative process. That process involved a diverse set of scholars, advocates, grantees and foundation program officers from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the United States, who together assessed strategic opportunities and challenges in the area of sexuality. It includes discussion of the intersection of sexuality with major social issues, providing the detailed information about evolving trends and sexuality initiatives, and give recommendations on priority areas for activism and investment.
