Sexual coercion within marriage is a new research topic for Vietnamese social scientists. This paper is one more effort to answer the question how Vietnamese married men think about sexual coercion within marriage. The paper bases on results of a research on sexual coercion within marriage implemented in Nghe An province from 2004 to 2005. It shows that most interviewed men did not think sexual coercion exist within marriage. However, many men admitted that, quite regularly, they still had sex even knowing their wives’ disagreement.
