Gender and Sexuality Review: Transitional gender identities in a changing Vietnamese society

The sharing of information contributes to improving research and interventioprogrammes and helps to inform policies related to society and health. Helping to enable the sharing of information is one of the key goals that the Center for Creative Initiative in Health and Population (CCIHP) is pursuing. To facilitate this CCIHP has undertaken a survey to evaluate the needs of people requiring access to information. This survey identified two main obstacles that prevent researchers, staffs and students from accessing information.

This booklet has been developed to articulate common ground on sexuality and sexual health by integrating multiple perspectives from different fields. Nha Trang City in south-central Vietnam has implemented an HIV prevention program targeting Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) since 2003. In order to expand the program to provide education and outreach services in the surrounding rural areas of Khanh Hoa province, a survey was conducted among MSM in the city and 4 rural districts.
