Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) is participating in the Center for Health Market Innovations (CHMI), a global network of partners that systematically identifies, documents, and analyzes market oriented health care programs, disseminates information about these models, and facilitates strategic linkages among entrepreneurs, funders, policymakers, and researchers. The objective is to increase access to information about market-oriented health care programs that effectively aid the delivery of health services, improve quality of care, and/or improve financial protection for the poor in low and middle income countries. The activities is being started in Vietnam, India and South Africa, using grant of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Rockefeller with the technical support of Results for Development (R4D).
The outputs of CHMI’s activities are to be publicly accessible through website http://resultsfordevelopment.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6c3212a6ca42b75aaead60ceb&id=5b2849cb80&e=ec5f1d21cf, which will serve as an online searchable resource center regularly updated with new program data. The website includes, among other features, a comprehensive database of brief program profiles and in-depth case-studies categorized by thematic and geographic focus.
Objectives of the project at present:
1. To build up database of health market innovative programs in Viet Nam and Cambodia
2. To analyze patterns of health market innovations in Viet Nam
3. To advocate for the good models of health market innovation
