Expertise

Research

CIHP focuses on action and intervention research using socio-medical approach. Research carried out by CIHP covered a wide range of research topics from a specific health problem to gender, capacity building, primary health care, reproductive and sexual health issues. The package of CIHP’s experiences includes the use of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies in research projects.

Training

CIHP is experienced in developing tailor-made training curricula and conducting training in the following areas:

· Health programme management: needs analysis, project planning and implementation, monitoring, supervision and evaluation using variety of tools and techniques.

· Health system management including human resource management and organizational development

· Health education – communication, active training methodologies, community mobilization, strategy and policy development

· Health research including research design, management and analysis, writing and publishing research documents.

· Social and health related topics including gender, rights, sexuality, reproductive and sexual health.

Programme Design and Management

CIHP is experienced in

· Problem and situation analysis – needs assessment

· Planning using LFA, development of health indicator, health management system, supervision, monitoring and evaluation

· Selection and application of appropriate strategies in programs management such as integration, multi-sectoral collaboration, empowerment with participation from partners and beneficiaries
