Introduction
The Consultation of Investment in Health Promotion (CIHP) was established in 1999. With more than 20 staff, CIHP is an institution of accumulated expertise in public health, community development, and the social sciences. CIHP staff have achieved qualifications and training competencies from a range of prestigious national and international institutions, including Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi school of Public Health, the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities, London University (United Kingdom), Columbia University, and Brown University (United States). CIHP promotes a workplace culture that encourages creativity, innovation, flexibility, teamwork and equity, and is committed to the quality and effectiveness of its work and outcomes.

Objectives

To enhance the management and increase the effectiveness of health promotion and other intervention programmes by conducting of research and training that strengthens the capacity of health and other relevant personnel at all levels.

Expertises
CIHP focuses on action and intervention research using socio-medical approaches. Research carried out by CIHP covers a wide range of topics, from specific health related problems to broader gender, capacity building, primary health care, reproductive and sexual health issues. CIHP has extensive experience designing, piloting, implementing and evaluating both qualitative and quantitative methodologies in research projects.
CIHP is experienced in developing tailor-made training curricula and conducting training in the following areas:
· Health programme management: needs analysis, project planning and implementation, monitoring, supervision and evaluation using a variety of tools and techniques.
· Health systems management: including human resource management and organizational development
· Health education: communication, active training methodologies, community mobilization, strategy and policy development
· Health research: including research design, management and analysis, writing and publishing of research documents.
· Social and health related topics: including gender, rights, sexuality, reproductive and sexual health.
CIHP is experienced in:
· Problem and situation analysis: needs assessment
· Planning using LFA, development of health indicators, health management systems, supervision, monitoring and evaluation.
· Selection and application of appropriate programme management strategies such as integration, multisectoral collaboration, and empowerment, with participation from partners and beneficiaries.

CIHP Staffs
Trần Hùng Minh, MD, MSc., Founder, Director
Dr. Tran Hung Minh graduated from Hanoi Medical School as an Epidemiologist in 1992. He obtained his Master of Science in Health System Management at London University in 2000. Dr. Minh focuses on health management, epidemiological research and biostatistics.

Phạm Vũ Thiên, MD, MSc., Founder, Deputy Director
Graduated as General Practitioner at Hanoi Medical School in 1993, Dr. Thiên pursued his Master of Science in Health Systems Management at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2001. Dr. Thiên's primary areas of interest include the development and implementation of BCC programs/projects, community based needs assessment, and in the formulation of community development projects.

Bùi Thị Thanh Mai, MD, MSc, Founder, Deputy Director
Dr Mai obtained her MD from Hanoi Medical School in 1992 and a Master of Science from London University in 2000. She participated in Population Leadership Program at the University of Washington (USA) in 2004-2005. Dr. Mai has a wide range of experience in the monitoring, supervision and evaluation of health programs, personell management and organizational development.

Hoàng Tú Anh, MD, MSc., Founder, Management Board
Dr. Tú Anh graduated from Hanoi Medical College as a General Practitioner. She obtained her Master of Science at London University in 2000, with a focus on health system management. Dr. Tú Anh has broad experience in research and training on rights, gender, sexual health and HIV/AIDS.

Nguyễn Minh Đức, MD, MSc., Founder, Management Board
Dr. Duc obtained his medical doctorate (MD) from Varna Medical University in 1989 (Bulgaria). In 2000 he obtained a Master of Science (MSc) from London University (UK), specialising in health systems management. In 2006-2007, Dr. Duc has completed the Population Leadership Program at the University of Washington (USA). Dr. Duc’s main expertise includes health systems management, leadership in public health, international health, active training methods and BCC.

Vũ Song Hà, MD, MPH, Founder, Management Board
Dr. Hà obtained her Epidemiology degree from Hanoi Medical School in 1995. She also has a Master of Public Health from Columbia University (New York, 2002). Her primary experience and interests lie in training and research in gender, reproductive and sexual health.

Vũ Công Nguyên, MD. MPH., Founder, Management Board
Dr. Nguyên obtained his medical doctorate from Hanoi Medical School in 1993 and a Master of Public Health at Brown University in 2005. His expertise includes health system management, epidemiology, biostatistical methods and their applications in STI research including HIV/AIDS, and reproductive health prevention/promotion programs.

Lê Thị Lan Anh- Counsellor
Ms. Lan Anh graduated from Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2008. Joining CIHP the same year, Lan Anh is a member of the project “Online Counseling on HIV/AIDS, sexuality and reproductive health for Teens” (CHAT).

Trần Hương Giang - Counsellor

Ms. Giang graduated from Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2008. Joining CIHP the same year, Giang is a member of the project “Online Counseling on HIV/AIDS, sexuality and reproductive health for Teens” (CHAT).

Nguyễn Vũ Thuý Hà – Administrative Officer
Ms. Ha graduated from School of Technical and Economical Affairs in 2004. She joined CIHP in 2006 as an Administrative Officer.

Phùng Thị Hiên - Counsellor
Ms. Hiên graduated from Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2005. Hiên works as a member of the project “Online Counseling on HIV/AIDS, sexuality and reproductive health for Teens” (CHAT) since 2008.

Phạm Bích Hiền – Chief Accountant
Mrs. Hiền graduated from National Economic University with a concentration in accounting in 1996. Before joining CIHP in late 1994, Mrs. Hiền worked as accountant and chief accountant for several businesses and non-profit organizations.

Hoàng Thu Huyền – Counsellor
Ms. Huyền graduated from Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2008. Joining CIHP in 2007, Huyền works as a member of the project “Online Counseling on HIV/AIDS, sexuality and reproductive health for Teens” (CHAT).

Ian Bromage– Organisational Effectiveness Advisor
Ian Bromage is a VSO Volunteer working as an Organisational Effectiveness Advisor with CCIHP, he has extensive experience in general and project management and as an MSc in Development Management from the Open University in the UK. Much of his previous experience has been in the private sector working with telecoms and medical companies, but a few years back he worked in Mongolia helping UNV with their secure livelihoods programme. He is delighted to be back working in the Development sector in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and is thorughly enjoying his assignment with CCIHP.

Phạm Kiều Linh – Senior Counsellor, Project Officer

Ms. Linh graduated from Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2003 and joined CIHP in 2004. Linh manages the professional activities of the project “Online Counseling on HIV/AIDS, sexuality and reproductive health for Teens” (CHAT).

Đặng Thị Hồng Linh – Project Officer
Ms. Linh graduated from Hanoi School of Public Health in 2007. Joining CIHP in 2009, Linh is working on two projects “Fund for Local Cooperation” (FLC), a project that provided financial and administrative supports to all grantees of Embassy of Finland in Vietnam and "Health Market Innovations" project.

Bùi Văn Nam – Project Officer
Mr. Nam graduated from Hanoi School of Public Health in 2007. Joining CIHP in 2010, Linh is working on projects “Model of counseling and capacity building for men’s involvement in response to gender based violence”.

Đinh Thị Phương Nga – Project Assistant
Ms. Nga graduated from Hanoi School of Public Health in 2008. Joining CIHP the same year, Nga worked on the project “Enhancing capacity of Vietnamese researchers in publishing and disseminatiuon of research on gender, sexuality and sexual health” (ENCOURAGES) as a project assistant. Now, she is a member of project: "Toward sexual and reproductive health and rights for all" as project assistant and researcher.

Nguyễn Quốc Phong – Project Officer
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Phong obtained a Psychology degree from Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2003. He has worked at CIHP since 2004, serving as a counselor on the CHAT project for several years before assuming his current role as program officer for the Cordaid project in 2008. His primary experience and interests lie in training, practice and research in counseling psychology.

Trần Thị Thanh Tâm – Project Assistant
Ms Tâm graduated of Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Hanoi National University in 2005, Tam joined CIHP in 2006. She is working on the project of “The integrated model on gender-based violence prevention in community and clinic settings” as a project assistant.

Đặng Huyền Trang - Project Officer, Senior Counsellor

Ms. Trang graduated from Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2003 and joined CIHP the same year. Trang works primarily in managing personnel and coordinating activities for the project “Online Counseling on HIV/AIDS, sexuality and reproductive health for Teens” (CHAT).

Quách Thu Trang, MSc – Project Officer
Ms. Trang graduated from Hanoi foreign language University in 1998 and a Master of Health Social Sciences from Mahidol University (Thailand) in 2006. Joining CIHP the same year, she is currently a project officer in the project of “The integrated model on gender-based violence prevention in community and clinic settings”. She has many experiences on working with INGOs about Gender, Empowerment of Women, Reproductive and Sexual Health.
