This training workshop is in the framework of the project "Enhancing capacity of Vietnamese researchers on publishing and dissemination of research on gender and sexuality" (Encourages) which is implemented by CIHP (Consultation of Investment in Health Promotion) and funded by the Rockefeller. The project aims to support Vietnamese researchers to produce high quality research papers/articles and disseminate them effectively at national and international levels.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Course Goal: Help participants improve qualitative data analysis skills.
Course Learning Objectives:
At the end of the workshop, the participant will be able to:
1. Obtain an overview theories of qualitative data analysis;
2. Discuss and apply different perspectives related to qualitative data analysis

Language: The training course will be conducted in English.
Dates: December 27 – 29, 2008.
Class size: Limited – max 15 people.
COURSE FEE AND SCHOLARSHIPS:
All course fees will be covered by the ENCOURAGES Project. The project also provides a number of modest scholarships for selected participants outside Hanoi to cover the transportation, food and accommodation.
EGILIBLE PARTICIPANTS:
- Researchers and program officers who did research in the field of gender, sexuality and sexual health.
- Those who have excellent communication skills in English.
*If possible, bring a laptop for individual exercise.
