The 5 day workshop offered basic theories and skills on research paper writing skills for the researcher participants. The theories discussed included gender, sexuality, SRH, and the skills encompasses: argument development, style and structure, literature review, Methodology and findings presentation, and discussion, authorship and writing, some ethical and practical considerations and conclusions.

The workshop was in the form of an open forum, lectures on concepts and theories of sexuality and gender as well as structures, styles followed by discussion of participants’ work: identify common themes in papers, forming arguments. The reading and practices sessions in the workshop created opportunities for participants to work closely with mentors and share experiences with other participants to improve the writing skills.

The workshop was successfully supported researchers with fundamental concepts and skills to do and revise research in gender, sexuality fields. It created a channel for researchers to discuss about theme-related research, disseminate and share information not only among themselves, but to experts at greater extent. Thus, the researchers enjoy both theoretical and practical insights to improve their research writing skills.
