The course was conducted by Professor Lenore Manderson, ARC Federation Fellow, School of Population Health, The University of Melbourne. Various teaching methods were employed in the course ranging from the teaching of concepts and discussions on gender and SRH rights to video presentations on gender equality, gender-based violence, abortion and sex work as seen through the lens of gender. The participants and lecturer enjoyed the open discussions about gender-based differences in social power and how economics affects concepts and practice of sex and sexuality in different settings. The discussion and role-playing activities helped the participants improve their analytical and presentation skills.
